"SN: 35946 “Pre-A series" made in 1936. Magazine fed bolt action sporting rifle chambered in 22 long rifle with a 24" barrel, Redfield globe front sight and a Lyman rear peep sight. Original Winchester marked 5 round magazine and “SPORTING" on the bottom metal. Nicely figured walnut stock, hand checkered with an ebony forend tip, original hard rubber branded grip cap and original checkered steel butt plate. This rifle also features supergrade style ½" wide inlet sling swivels and 2 original supergrade swivels. The bottom metal shows some bluing loss but the barreled action is in very good condition for the age. The stock is in good condition with normal wear and handling marks expected in a rifle of this age. Overall a solid, rare pre war Winchester.
