Description:
This example is a Colt Mark IV Government Model Series 70 in 45 auto with some non-original parts. The gun was manufactured in 1980 with serial 66558B70. The left slide is marked; "COLT'S MK IV/SERIES '70 / GOVERNMENT MODEL / .45 AUTO CALIBER" and with a Rampant Colt logo. The right of the frame is marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A." with the serial number "66558B70. The right side of the slide is marked "COLT'S GOVERNMENT MODEL". The parts on this gun that have been switched out are, the hammer, beaver tail grip safety, extended thumb safety, 3 hole adjustable trigger, barrel bushing, solid guild rod, front & rear sights and the checkered flat mainspring housing. The front sight is a serrated ramped blade dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch smooth face dovetailed to the rear of the slide. Overall this gun is still in great condition with some minor usage wear. Doesn't come with a box. .45 ACP

Metal Condition: "90% remaining. Scattered light scratches, light broken edges, holster wear. The front strap finish has left a pattern worn into the finish from a previous grip.
Wood Condition: 99% wood grips.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright with strong rifling.
