Description:
Up for sale is this nice numbers matching 12ga DB81 Special Trap Combo. It has not been shot since recently being completely rebuilt to the tune of $850. The trigger is a pull pull with the parts to turn it into a double release. The trigger blade is adjustable front and back and barrel selection is internally selectable for top or bottom. Both sets of barrels have been ported. Appears to be by Angleport. The 34” top single has 4 S12 Briley thinwalls. LM, Mod, IMOD and Full. The 32” O/U barrels are non choke tubed at .15 bottom and .25 top, just about perfect for doubles. Beautiful high grade right hand English walnut stock off the Wenig New American pattern style which has a palmswell and towed out at the bottom of the new Pachmeyer Decelerator pad. The right hand stock set has been refinished and checkering recut. As a couple of pictures show the stock had developed a crack top and botton. They were professionally repaired and the stock was glass bedded to the receiver. 14 ½” LOP, Drop at comb 1 ½”, drop at pad 2 ¾”, overall a very nice gun with years of service left. Great for someone who don't want to spend $9 or $10,000. Comes in a real nice Americase. The gun could stand to be reblued on down the road but ready to be enjoyed as is.
