E prefix serial number indicates 1948 mfg.,1st year of production, 1st model of the improved Model 36 1948-1952.
This Waffletop Marlin is in excellent original condition. Factory sight mount tapped on left reviever side for adj peep sight.
Metal shows light bluing wear. Stocks show light handling marks from normal wear. See photos as part of the description.
JM proofed barrel. Bright bore. Factory Marlin butt-plate. Original forearm and bullseye butt-stock, un-drilled or altered.
