James Purdey Classic pair game guns, 12 ga., 30" Whitworth chopper lump barrels, raised game ribs choked strong improved cylinder and improved modified. 2-1/2" chambers, double triggers, ejectors, auto safe. Golden era production completed August 1926. Self opening actions are tight on the face and the bores are bright and clean. The locks retain a nice patina of case colors against the crisp engraving on original unpolished actions. Excellent wood to metal fit. Straight hand stocks measure 1-7/16" comb, 2-3/8" heel, 14-3/4" LOP over leather pads. About 1/8" cast off. The Pair have been in storage over 50 years. They could use new pads. Crisp trigger pulls, ejectors strong. Excellent wall thickness. Waiting for their next driven shoot. Oak and leather case.
