This rifle has been in the same family for generations and been very well kept.
1865 Remington Comtract 1863 civil war musket in original and very nice condition. All barrel bands marked with a U, butt plate stamped US, original bayonet stamped US, original sling stamped Watervliet, bore in good condition, some pitting on top from firing, overall metal is very nice. Wood is free of repairs or cracks. 58 caliber.
