Maynard 2nd Model Civil War Saddle Ring Carbine 50 cal Bore Exc, Mech Exc tight action ,Wood Exc with 2 excellent cartouche and excellent fit to metal. Has original buttplate. Has an original 20” Rd barrel with original sights and Inspector initial. The receiver has Edward Maynard and patent dated on the left side. The right side has Manufactures address markings. The serial#20043 marked on the lower tang. Metal overall is excellent with no pitting. The barrel has a fading original blue finish and the receiver has 30% case coloring. Maynard Carbines were issued to the 9th and 11th Indiana Cavalry Regiments also the 11th Tennessee Cavalry. Mfg’d 1863-1865
