Pre War Winchester Model 70 300 H&H Magnum standard rifle. One of the toughest to find and my personal favorite of the pre wars, having carried one for years while guiding bear hunters. These early rifles are simply stamped 300 Magnum without the H&H designator, since they were they only 300 Magnum at that time!
S/N 26803 with matching bolt made in 1940.
26" barrel with excellent bore.
90% original Blue and Varnish with handling marks and a patch of oxidation on left side of barrel just in front of forend tip.
Correct sights and swivels, and correctly undrilled rear receiver bridge.
All mechanical functions are crisp and flawless as usual.
A great, scarce all original, and very nostalgic hunting rifle!
