Here's an extremely sharp '06 FWT that I am offering at a reduced price due to it having a bit of glass bedding added to the recoil lug area.
S/N 416727 with matching bolt made in 1957.
22" slim profile barrel with an excellent bore. The mechanical functions are all working properly and smoothly.
98% original blue. The aluminum components are also nice with the trigger guard and buttplate retaining most of their original anodization, and the floorplate showing only some typical carry wear but no scrapes or other unsightly blems.
The wood is simply gorgeous, with beautiful color and grain, showing 98-99% original finish. As mentioned, there has been a bit of epoxy bedding compound added to the recoil lug area, along with what appears to be a slight wood relief in the barrel channel in an effort to free float the barrel from this contact point. These mid-1950s fwt. barrels often fit rather loosely anyway, and there are no readily apparent gaps externally, but is visible to the trained eye.
Take advantage of this slight alteration to save hundreds on an otherwise fantastic rifle which is perhaps even more accurate than before, particularly in unstable weather conditions.
