Description:
Marlin Model 1893 lever action rifle with a full-length tubular magazine and a 28" Octagon barrel. The top of the barrel is marked "MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED OCT. 11. 1887. APRIL 2. 1889. AUGUST 1. 1893." and "38-55" at the receiver. The top of the receiver is marked "MARLIN SAFETY". The bottom of the receiver is marked with the serial number "212790". The front sight is a silver blade slotted to a base that is dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a V-notch elevator sight that is dovetailed to the barrel. The upper tang has two tapped, and filled holes for mounting a tang sight.The stocks are two-piece smooth walnut with a capped forearm, straight grip, straight comb, and a crescent steel buttplate. The exterior of this gun is in good serviceable condition, mechanically its in great condition. .38-55 Winchester

Metal Condition: Good serviceable surface. A couple scraps on the sides of the barrel just in front of the forend cap. No major rust pitting on the exterior surface. 4 of the 12 screw heads are distorted.
Wood Condition: Good serviceable stocks with excellent metal to wood fit. The stocks are not split.
Bore Condition: Good. Still shootable.
Barrels: 28" barrel.
Triggers: Single.
