This is a J. Stevens A&T Co. 25-20 wcf model #44 “Ideal” single shot that has a "Swiss" butt plate and is equiped with #2 heavy barrel.that has been fitted with a modern Wm Malcolm 3x scope. and has a tang sight attached the front sight is missing.
Condition
Overall this rifle is in good condition and is a shooter grade ready to use rifle. The barrel was relined by "Larry Romono Rifle Co."in Pennellville NY, and chambered for 25-20 Winchester. The bore as relined is bright and new. The finish has an even soft gray around the action to brown patina along the barrel. The action is tight, functions perfectly easliy seats a 25-20 cartridge correctly. This rifle is a 100+ year old classic that has been upgraded rerady to use. This rifle comes with a partial box of ammunition which is pictured, shipped separately.
