Synopsis: Remington 24, Takedown Rifle: an unusual Remington .22LR takedown rifle from an earlier era! Description: Seldom seen Remington model 24 takedown rifle with 21.25 in. barrel having drift adjustable bead front sight and rudimentary buckhorn style rear sight. Remington address on top of barrel, straddling rear sight, with cartridge reference on left side. Matching SN on bottom of barrel and left side of receiver that is also marked "MODEL 24". Smooth forend and tube fed butt stock whose butt plate is marked with an encircled "Remington UMC". Condition: Approximately 97-98% bright original blue, the forend and butt stock having been refinished. A small piece of wood has been professionally sectioned into the butt stock behind the trigger guard, now darker in color. The pistol grip cap replaced with an aluminum piece. Mirror-bright bore.
