Description:
24 inch round barrel showing about 70% finish with only light wear, handling marks and a smattering of light freckles scattered here and there. Sights include a Bronze Bead front and a Sporting rear. Near excellent bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling and only a couple small areas of very light pitting. Special order short/button magazine. Receiver and Thumb print dust cover show about 60% finish with light wear and handling marks. Action is smooth and tight. The hammer shows a near all smokey case colors, with the lever showing fading remains appearing more vivid in protected areas and the crescent rifle butt plate showing more of a mottled gray pattern. Walnut stocks are solid and full fitting with only light wear and handling marks. Nice Special Order 1873 First model rifle showing only light use. Manufactured in 1879.
