Description:
28 inch tapered round barrel chambered in 30-40 Krag caliber with a dark bore. Sights include a pinned Marbles/Sheard blade front with a blank in the rear and a Lyman receiver sight. Nickel Steel Barrel has some thinning blue with spots of no finish remaining. Receiver and box magazine retain about 70% blue with some wear and scratches. Hammer has hints of case colors. Deluxe checkered walnut stocks with an oil finish are in good condition with worn checkering. Hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Sling eyes on the barrel and buttstock. Crisp action. Antique serial number shows this Winchester was made in 1898.
