Description:
FE Special grade A H Fox 16 gauge SxS shotgun by CSMC. Just short of the Exhibition Grade the FE is the highest grade offered by Fox; and the FE Special is a "little" more embellished!
Basics: 28" barrels are choked .010" (skeet) & .016" (modified); fitted with a slightly raised matted solid rib, ivory front and middle beads. Double triggers; automatic ejectors & automatic safety
Receiver is engraved in a traditional game bird scenes, surrounded by richly carved floral patterns and bordered by gold wire. The receiver is then finished in a satin gray with dark/contrasting backgrounds. The fences, top tang, top lever, bottom tang/trigger guard (with engraved fox) all compliment the receiver. The barrels are engraved at the chamber area and at the muzzle with the deep floral designs and highlighted with gold accents and gold wire borders. The Deeley forearm release also carries on the engraving theme.
The straight grip stock and beavertail forearm are as masterfully crafted as the engraving with very fine checkering and fleur-de-lis and carved borders all on a very handsome and finely finished select grade of Walnut.
The stock has a 14 5/8" LOP to the checkered butt; 1 1/2" DAC and 2 1/2" DAH with neutral cast.
Now imagine this 5 lbs. 14 oz. perfectly balance Fox in your hands..the feel is exceptional.
Cased in a makers full leather luggage case with accessories.
