About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for about 60 years, and am a Benefactor/Life NRA member. I feel that it is now time to start selling a few things. Description:
Browning Limited Edition Model 71 Rifle in .348 Winchester in Excellent Condition. These rifles were only made in 1986 and 1987, and only 3000 were produced in the Standard Grade, or Grade 1. I bought this one in 1990 from a friend who had his gunsmith install sling swivels. Other than that, the rifle has not been altered in any way. The fit and finish is beautiful with a deep lusterous blue on the metal. The Walnut stock has some nice dark streaks through it to give the rifle character. The rifle is in perfect condition except for a couple of minor dings to the buttstock as seen in the last picture. The bore is perfect. Less than 20 rounds have been fired through it. The .348 Winchester cartridge is an excellent cartridge for Elk or Bear in close cover. Muzzle energy is roughly the same as a 30-06. I am so happy that Browning produced these modern rifles that are strong, accurate and faithful to the original John Browning design. There are no push button safetys. The model 71 shares the same design with the Winchester 1886 with small differences to handle the higher pressures of a more powerful smokeless cartridge. This action is strong enough to be rebarreled to the mighty .475 Turnbull cartridge, powerful enough for any game on Earth. I have shot one of those and I beleive that I will stick to the .348 Winchester. This rifle would make an excellent addition to your collection, whether you hunt with it, or just want to shoot a great "Browning Designed" lever action rifle occassionally.

RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing, no-tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or altering in any way) inspection/return privilege. Inspection is based on a visual review of the firearm to confirm that it is in the condition stated. In the case of a return, the buyer pays all shipping charges. Please ask questions.
