Payment Types Accepted: USPS Money Orders, or Certified Checks Description: Available for sale is a Nice condition "All Matching" Antique Swedish Mauser with a 4-digit Serial number and is stamped with a Swedish Crown and "Carl Gustafs Stads GevarsFaktori 1898" on the top of receiver. These Antique Swedish Mausers in all matching condition are quite hard to find in good condition. I have had this highly collectible gun in my collection for over 20 years. The stock shows some wear, but has not been sanded or finished with any type of polyurethane finish. The hand grooves still show sharp lines indicating no aftermarket sanding. Only Boiled Linseed Oil (BLO) has been applied to the stock. The stock does have an arsenal repair just in front of the rear barrel band. It was professionally done by a Swedish Arsenal sometime in the past. The metal bluing is good, but has a few areas of wear on the receiver, barrel, and floorplate areas. Every single serial number is marked "688", as is proper for the rifle with a 4 digit serial of "1688". The only number that does not match is a very small sliding part of the rear folding sight. The rear folding sight is arsenal stamped with "688". Even the firing pin is matching with a "688" stamp! Cleaning rod is not matching, but that is normal for all Swede rifles. The bore is very clean with little to no corrosion. And the lands and grooves (rifling) are very sharp and well defined, (see pics). Muzzle is threaded and is a M96B, and has a screw on metal thread protector covering the threads. The threads were used for the blank firing device that was used to shread wooden bullets when fired for training purposes by the Swedish Military. This rifle comes with a nice original Swedish Mauser leather sling and it also has a quick detach connector, but is not included in the pictures. I can only ship to the lower 48 states. Shipping will be a flat $50 in the lower 48. This rifle is designated as an antique, so only a drivers license showing you are at least 21 years of age is required. No FFL or C&R license is required for transfer. I accept USPS Money orders and Certified checks as payment.
