Description:
Colt single action SAA Sheriff model with Colt letter. Based on the serial number this 44-40 Sheriff model was made in 1884 and sat on the shelf until shipped in 1887. This was not uncommon for the Sheriff model as orders were much less common than long barrel Colts. The gun's configuration matches Colts letter with the exception that all the nickel is gone, leaving the dirty copper brown patina. The gun has old pearl grips on it in decent shape with a small crack but solid. Great opportunity for a scarce original Sheriff model. See photos as part of the description.
