Description:
Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation M1 Carbine in 30 Carbine. The top of the receiver is marked "U.S. CARBINE / CAL. .30 M1." on the front and "ROCK-OLA / 4621897" on the rear. The barrel is marked "ROCK-OLA". The trigger group is marked "ROCK-OLA". The hammer is marked "WA" which is a (Walt Company). The Type III magazine release is marked "M" on the face with cc above. The rotary safety is marked "M inside a C" which is a post WWII rebuild mark. The bottom of the operating slide is marked "ROCK-OLA". The flat bolt is marked "ROCK-OLA" on the right lug. The type 2 front sight is marked "PO 8" which is an "IBM" mark. The front sight is a post set between two protective wings. The milled rear sight is marked "PI." which is "INLAND". The Type III barrel band is marked "KI" which is an "INLAND" mark. The stock is a Rock-Ola type 1, marked "RMC" on the left side of sling cut out. The two piece hardwood stock has a pistol grip with a "P" stamp, Type III barrel band with sling loop & bayonet lug, sling well, sling pass through and a metal buttplate. The left side of the stock also has an "AA" rebuild stamp from August Arsenal. No magazine. .30 Carbine
