Here's the nicest pre 64 model 94 I've ever seen. I just bought it. Was told it is from New Mexico. Certainly looks great. No cracks or gouges in the wood. Looks like all original finish. I did clean and wax the wood. I'v always done that with my guns. There's slight loss or fading of blue on the high spots of the metal. We took it apart looking for something inside, rust, corrosion , dirt, wear, whatever. Found none of the above. Clean inside as outside. Sights, strap, butt plate, screws, all are fine. Trigger is smooth and action is excellent. We loaded three shells and rapidly fired them in about a second, perfectly. Wish I still hunted!!!
'My eyes are 83 years old and might have missed something. Oh yeah, the bore is excellent. Can't have been fired much!
I found three similarly described guns on the internet. Prices are 2100,2000,1800. I apparently bought this one right. I'll be at 1500.
Bottom line, this is just one fine 73 year old model 94.
