Description:
Displays all the wear and tear of spending a lifetime in the line of duty, retaining 85% original blue finish with holster wear and grip straps worn gray from spending years in the hand. The grips are excellent with some minor handling marks (mostly on the bottom) and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. This 5 inch S&W .357 Registered Magnum revolver will make a perfect addition to any law enforcement collection. This S&W Registered Magnum was procured by a Florida police department and is one of only 869 Registered Magnums manufactured with a 5 inch barrel. As confirmed in the accompanying factory letter, the revolver was shipped on December 10, 1937, and delivered to the City of Lakeland, Lakeland, Florida, with a 5 inch barrel, McGivern gold bead front sight, square notch rear sight, blue finish, and checkered walnut Magna grips. This shipment was for eight units and the City of Lakeland was billed at $35.45 each. The registration number of this revolver is 3239. The revolver also features a humpback hammer and matching serial numbers on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder and ejector shroud. .357 Mag
