Description:
Up for sale is a very nice 44-40 Fontier Sixshooter Etched panel made an 1878 with Factory letter. This is a very early etch panel. This gun has a 7 1/2 inch barrel with nice blueing. It shows Feathering near the front sight. All serial numbers match inspector marks are correct for an 1877,1878. The cylinder is in very nice condition with nice notches an correct timming. There is holster wear on barrel. It looks like it sat in a holster collected some moisture.
This gun maybe restored I just can't tell. If it is, it is the best I have seen. Traces of fire blue on the ejector head, screws, trigger,etc. Case colors faded to approx.30%. Blueing 60%
