Description:
Model 1908 Vest Pocket – Factory nickel with original factory pearl grips. Matching slide and frame serial numbers. Gun letters with nickel/pearls. Sold to the Duluth Minnesota Marshal Wells Hardware branch in 1920, and shipped to the Pease Hardware Co right across the bay to Superior, Wisconsin. The gun includes an original type box, but likely not for this gun, but with original type brochure and cleaning brush. Gun is in beautiful original condition. The finish exhibits 104 years of light wear, slight crazing to the finish, very light scratches, edge wear to the nickel in places (muzzle), slight delamination to the nickel, some light speckling in spots, etc. The grips show some nickel loss to the medallions, as seen. The original grips have lovely iridescent shades and display pleasingly. The gun is a rarity in this configuration/condition and a wonderful survivor shipped to a rather interesting set of port cities that will display beautifully. Price: $3000.00
No shipping to California, unfortunately. Rest of USA is fine. The gun will be packed extremely well and will be shipped via FedEx with insurance to your FFL dealer in the USA (no CA shipping, unfortunately) for $50. The actual shipping cost is likely higher, but I share in the cost in covering the balance to try to help keep the cost low for the buyer. This gun requires a C&R FFL or 01 FFL license for transfer. Payments accepted are cashier’s checks/USPS Money orders (ships business day after arriving), or personal checks (ships 5 business days after arriving). ALL SALES FINAL.
