Remington 700 VTR chambered in 17 Remington Fireball, such a cool little caliber that just didn't go over well. If I remember correctly when this was chambered as a Wildcat cartridge they called it the 17 Mach IV, Remington designed these VTR barrels with 5R rifling in a triangle shape to dissapate heat faster but maintain the rigidity of a heavy barrel gun. The barrel does have a little wear on the bottom of it from where it must have rested on something hard when shooting. Other than that spot I don't see much wear on the rifle at all.
