32136- VIETNAM WAR BRING BACK MONTAGNARD SNAPHAUNCE MONKEY GUN CA. MID 1900’S. 48” o/a with 42” smoothbore .36 cal. round barrel. Wood pistol grip stock with aluminum bands. All original with old dark brown patina and old surface rust. Fair condition and with a little attention the lock would function. Brought back by an Air Force fighter pilot who flew missions in Vietnam during the war. Closely associated with our U. S. Special Forces Montagnard allies and often referred to as “Monkey Guns” and brought back as war souvenirs.
