This Springfield U.S.Model 1868 is a single shot trapdoor action rifle in .50-70 Gov't. Cal. It has a 32.5 inch barrel. A blade front sight and a two position adjustable notch rear. The butt stock is a smooth grip walnut straight grip. The forearm is a smooth walnut. Serial Number 48527 (1870). .50-70 Government
