"NSN, circa 1850’s, .45 caliber, 2 ¾" octagonal barrel. Barrel is marked “DERINGER/PHILADEL", barrel and other metal parts are a smooth grey patina. Engraved parts remains sharp. Wood has had heavy repair done to the right side with a crack going from the rear of the lock plate round to the rear of the side plate. Action holds at half and full cock.
