These are among our favorite rifles independant of price or value; we like them more than some costing 5x as much...they are true gems. Scaled down versions of Weatherby's Mark V (Mark V's are thought to be the stronges bolt actions ever commercially produced). The strikingly attrative honey colored stock with contrasting rosewood forend tip and pg cap and the wihite diamond inlay is Weatherby's iconic signature. With only minor handling marks the blue is also terrific from the deeply polished bolt all the way down the lenght of the desirable 26" barrel to end (see pics) Floor plate and trigger guard normally show wear from being carried on this gun almost completely free of wear with only tiny marks likly made by a mans ring.
This a Japanese made version...The Jap. guns typically have far nicer wood than the eariler german guns. Impressive looking high magnification Varmint / Target type scope is a 6 x 20 with target type turrets, and AO and sun shade make a pretty impressive looking package for touching varmints or other waaaay out!
While we like them in 225 Varmintmaster ammo is expensive and not easy to find making this one chambered in 22-250 for most folks a far better choice.
