Stunning example of the ultra rare Pre 64 Winchester Super Grade Featherweight in .308 Win. caliber!
S/N 389324 with matching bolt made in 1956.
This is the rarest style of Model 70 ever produced. There were only 930 made in 4 calibers, and the .308 is by far the rarest of those with only 101 units made.
Outstanding condition showing 99% Blue, 99% Varnish. All original hardware including the Redfield front sight and detachable swivels.
Aluminum bottom metal and buttplate. Floorplate is stamped SUPER GRADE.
The underbarrel is also stamped SUPER, along with the backward S on the recoil lug.
22" barrel with minty bore and all mechanical functions appear smooth and flawless.
These almost never surface, and this is only the 2nd or 3rd I have ever had my hands on. It would be nearly impossible to improve on this one so get it while you can!
