Description:
Desirable 16 inch barrel carbine configuration chambered in 44-40 caliber with a bright shiny near excellent bore. Sights include a pinned blade front that has been shortened and a folding ladder carbine rear. Barrel and magazine tube retain most all of the original thinning blue. Receiver has about 60% thinning blue fading to a brown patina. Loading gate has some good niter blue remaining. Saddle ring on the left side. Crisp functioning action. Straight grain walnut stocks are in fine condition with a slight chip at the upper tang and only minor handling mars. Carbine style buttplate. This is a very fine example of a 16 inch baby carbine length trapper that has been used and well cared for. This handy hard to find little Winchester was made in 1925.
