Description:
AYA Model XXV SxS shotgun in 12 Gauge. This AYA is one of three manufactured in 1970 with a barrel date of "Q1". This example has full scroll and floral engraved case-colored frame and a 7 pin case-colored detachable sidelocks. The barrels are a 25" chopper lump nitro proof steel with a classic Churchill full-length narrow rib and a bead front sight. Marked in gold at the rear of the barrels is "AYA" and the number one. The barrels have ejectors and the flats proofed 12/70 (2 3/4") chambers. Choked: Right - (Improved Cylinder) and the Left - (MOD). This also has a single selective trigger with a gold barrel selector on the trigger, automatic safety, gold lined cocking indicators. The stock is an oiled European walnut straight grip stock and splinter forend with border checkering and a KICK-EEZ rubber recoil pad. Overall this gun is in great lightly used condition. This is one of three guns in this sequential serial number set: (1) 39233, (2) 392334, (3) 392335. All the guns are the same model, just choked differently. Metal Condition: 90%-95% overall remaining. The barrels have light scattered scratches here and there. Minor edge wear around the trigger guard and bottom edge of the frame.
Wood Condition: "90%-95% remaining. Minor dings and drag lines. The oil finished stock needs some oil reapplied, parts of it are uneven/thin.
Bore Condition: Smooth bright bores.
Barrels: 25" barrels.
