MARLIN MODEL 94 .25-20 TAKEDOWN, OCTAGON RIFLE, #440XXX, MADE C. 1909. An attractive example with fine blue on the barrel and magazine showing just a little age on the high edges and a little on the magazine bottom. The receivermottled cloudy/gray with some faint and light case colors remaining- more on the left side and more vivid in the protected areas as well as on the upper portion of the lever on both sides. There are two extra holes in the receiver top (the two factory holes have blued filler screws in them as seen in the photo). Fine blue on the bolt and on the loading gate, with good blue remaining on the forend cap. Fitted with a Lyman tang sight with small fold-down aperture intact (no extra holes underneath), buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and small blade/bead front sight. Sharp markings. Exc. stock and forend with tight wood to metal fit. Tight takedown, solid safety half-cock on the hammer and bright bore with any small spots surface and minor.
