Description:
"SN: 13346 made circa 1930’s in Germany. 3 barrel traditional Drilling with 27" barrels with a dovetailed silver bead front sight and folding leaf rear sight operated by the top tang button, a soldered on sling swivel and is marked “IDEAL DRILLING". Side by side shotgun barrels are 16 gauge with 2 ½" chambers and the rifle barrel was chamber cast and determined to be 11.15x65R Lancaster Express. Shotgun bores are very good with some very shallow dents on the left barrel and the rifle barrel is dark with strong rifling. Side lock action with a greener style safety inside the left lock plate, very ornately engraved with game scenes on both sides as well as a small game scene on the trigger guard and scroll filling in the rest. The action does not have a manufacturers name but is marked D.R.G.M. 59714 which came back as “Aug.Schuler- Suhl & Paul Reuss-Stuttgart- Drilling." Stock has a 14" LOP to a checkered steel butt plate serialized to the gun, a blank silver oval, sling swivel and small horn insert in the round knob pistol grip. Overall in good condition with normal wear and handling marks.
