Fabulous example of the exceedingly rare Model 70 Super Grade in .243 Win. caliber. Only 291 ever made and this one is on par with the very best I've had!
S/N 362797 with matching bolt, having a perfectly scribed number on top of the factory jeweling as it should be.
Supreme original finishes showing 100% Blue (you know I "never" say that but I'm saying it now) and 99% wood finish.
The bolt face and several other indicators suggest that this rifle is virtually unfired beyond factory proof.
24" barrel with its gorgeous rust blued finish has an anticipated flawless bore, along with perfect and crisp mechanical functions.
All of the unique Super Grade features are present and correct including the deluxe stock, rare Redfield front sight, and robust detachable swivels.
These don't get talked about as much as I think they should be, but genuine examples of standard weight 243 Super Grades such as this are practically as rare as the Featherweight 243 Super Grade, with a production difference of only 31 units.
