This Holland and Holland rook gun All models this was the best, was called the Royal hammer ejector with a .380 bore, This is identical virtually to the colt 38 long...I believe made for two years only rather scarce manufactured in the late 1870s ser#9090 engraving and wood is amazing. The gun is original except for is been opened up for a 410 short chamber most of these guns were converted to 410 due to English gun laws . fortunately, this one still has the original rifling!! an insert for 38 colt healed bullet would be the perfect restoration method For this rare antique to be back to original, except for the length of the barrel and one small, easy to repair chip-forend. an actual joy to carry at four and three-quarter pounds, being a takedown barrel,
previously cut down and added a front site. Rear sight are original express 3 leaf , the balance is perfect ..at present. It will shoot a 2 1/4 inch 410 shell or slug Not sure if this is considered an absolute caliber gun please check all laws as you were responsible.
