This is a Remington model 1903 manufactured in June of 1942.
The barrel is marked “RA” with the ordnance flaming bomb symbol and “6-42.”and has a “P” proof mark. The receiver is marked “U.S. Remington Model 1903” and the serial number “3145779.”
This firearm has been significantly modified. The stock is not original. It is a nice walnut stock with beautiful grains in the wood. The stock has minor scuff marks on it. The barrel is smooth with no sights and no bayonet holder. It is drilled and tapped for a scope mount. The metal is parkerized, but worn with some discoloration.
