Winchester pre-64 Model 70 Super Grade .270 Win....
Made in 1951, this is a very fine example of a Model 70 SG with all markings and features absolutely correct. SG brass bead front sight. Correct "SUPER" under barrel markings and '51 date. SG floor plate. As per Super Grades made before 1955 the bolt and magazine follower are NOT enging turned.
The SG stock is correct BUT under the barrel there is evidence of some very discrete "bedding" work and screws securing the ebony forearm tip! No trace of the work shows from the outside.
