Description:
This is an original 2cd model, Netherlands/Dutch 1895 Bayonet for the Dutch Mannlicher rifle, manufactured by Hembrug (Artillerie Inrichtingen Zaandam). The nearly 14 unsharpened blade is in excellent condition with almost all of the finish, no nicks and a nice tip. The ricasso is marked "HEMBRUG" and on the reverse is Crown over Z. The guard is excellent with "6413.00" stamped on one side. The pommel is also stamped with the Crown over Z and in fine condition. The correct and original scabbard with attached frog is in excellent condition with tight stitching, brass rivets, has a loose internal chape. This is marked on the back "4399" "B&C AMSTEDAM" and I believe the date of 1897.
