Restored; Refinished; Masterfully Engraved and Gold Inlaid (Technically, Used – Unturned, Unfired after Restoration) Circa 1925; SN 347,8XX; Colt Single Action Army Revolver in .44-40 / 44 WCF Caliber; 7½ Inch Barrel; with what appear to be Genuine Ivory Grips. This nearly 100-year-old Colt SAA was refurbished, engraved, and brought to life again in 1999 as a masterwork by Clinton Finley, the renowned Colt Specialist Engraver (://clintonfinley/). Some of the Inlays resemble Cattle Brands; others look like American Indian Signs & Symbols. Lush, Elegant Scrollwork occupies the maximum surface area consistent with good taste on a gun like this - and complements the artwork perfectly. The Gold-Plated Screw Heads are engraved, as are the Screw Bottoms (on the Right Side). Allowing for restoration and refinishing, the gun appears in 100% Restored Condition. The hammer has not been pulled back (nor the cylinder turned) since its acquisition by the founder of this Trust/Estate. Please examine the photos and ask questions or request additional information before purchase as this item will be troublesome and costly to return owing to CA re-registration and other regulations.
