Description:
Stevens Ideal No 414 Armory .22 LR caliber rifle. No 414 Armory model manufactured 1912-1932. 26” heavy barrel with a Special Ordered Lyman Windgauge Tang peep sight ($400 by itself). Bore is excellent. Receiver has vivid case colors. Stock is very good showing handling marks and some minor nicks. A very fine model 414 Armory model.
Heavy barrel with the two line J. Stevens Arms Company address marking on right side and "22-L R" on the left. Globe front sight, adjustable receiver sight, and Lyman Tang Sight. Action has an "S" shaped lever. Straight grip stock with single barrel band, and rarer steel buttplate. Comes with maker marked leather sling. The barrel retains over 90% of it's original blue finish. The action retains 85-90% original vivid case colors. The wood is very fine with the forearm having minor dings. Mechanically excellent. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder. This firearm as with any other should be checked first by a gunsmith before any attempt is made to fire/ operate it.
