"Serial number 44256. Made in 1890. 45-90 caliber with a 26" barrel. Nice sharp gun. Metal has been cleaned and has a light gray patina. Wood is very good. Action works well. Bore has strong rifling with some pitting in the grooves. Very nice Winchester 1886 rifle in one of the most desirable calibers.
