Description:
1885 Winchester High Wall in 38-56 caliber. Antique and can be shipped directly to your doorsteps. This was a Western used rifle and can be seen by the wear on this rifle. Surprisingly, the bore is not as bad as the outside. I will rate the bore maybe a 7 on a scale from 1 to 10. Cody Muesum sheet says it was a 30" #3 barrel, current configuration is 28" #2. I'm thinking maybe the factory missed something? This rifle is definitely ugly but cheap. The caliber mark is tough to read on top of barrel but after taking forend off and inspecting the underside of barrel, there are two caliber 38-56 caliber stampings present. Overall condition is a gray / brown patina with some pitting on the breech area of barrel (see pics). Action functions nicely. Not the greatest High Wall, but cheap for a big bore. Please feel free to ask questions. I do offer layaway (contact me for the details) and I will consider trades.
