US Springfield Model 1868 Trapdoor 50-70 caliber army rifle converted to carbine style dated 1869. The dark walnut stock is in good condition. The functioning lock is marked US Springfield and dated 1863. All metal parts have a smooth brown patina. The breach block is marked US 1869 and is tight and functioning fine. The bore is clean.
