Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle in caliber 32-40 Winchester with standard 26" round barrel, full magazine, crescent butt with steel butt plate, open sights, plain walnut stocks, straight grip, blued and case hardened finish, serial number 163926, made 1899 per the Madis published records.
Honest rifle having sound stocks, no splits or cracks, just typical/expected dings from use. Barrel and mag blue retain 50% blued turned patina with some brighter blue on the mag tube. Action is crisp, with a properly working half cock safety. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. Bore is good, a 7 of 10, with plenty of sharp rifling mixed with very light oxidation and wear, may clean better and should spin a bullet just fine. Standard rear sight with special order Lyman #4 Hunting Front sight that still retains some of the ivory insert. Receiver blue has mostly flaked away, with 5% remaining that has turned patina. A good Winchester to add to your collection.
