Description: Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle in caliber 30WCF aka 30-30 with special order 22" round barrel, 2/3 magazine, shotgun butt with hard rubber butt plate, also the fluted variation with shorter-height butt plate that was introduced about 1913, open sights, plain walnut stocks, straight grip, blued and case hardened finish, serial number 755127, made 1915 per the Madis published records. This one has the correct short rifle features: shorter 8 3/8" forearm, as opposed to the 9 3/8" length of the standard rifle; rear sight seat 4" from receiver face as opposed to the 5" measurement of a standard rifle; retains the correct barrel taper and 11/16" muzzle diameter of a regular weight rifle (if cut, the measurement would be larger). Stocks show typical/expected dings from use, with a small sliver missing by the upper right tang, a tight split along the right of the forearm ahead of the receiver, and a long sliver missing along the left side of the forearm/barrel. Barrel retains 15% patina finish, with the mag tube showing 40% brighter original blue turning plum. Action is crisp, with a properly working half cock safety. Mag tube is tight with no wobble Takedown also tight with no wobble. Bore is very good, a 7.5 of 10, semi-bright with plenty of sharp rifling, mixed with very darkening in the grooves, may clean better and should spin a bullet just fine. Typical of this vintage, the receiver blue has flaked away, leaving a soft gun metal gray with blue in the protected areas. An interesting special order Winchester to add to your collection. No international sales. Must ship to FFL or C&R license holder (buyers within New York State must provide an FFL only). Payment by personal check, bank check or postal money order (sorry no credit cards). 3-day non-firing inspection. Buyer pays return shipping.
