I'm selling my collection. Here is an Antique American Standard Tool Co. Tip-Up Single Action Revolver made 1861-1873, Newark N.J factory produced and were widely used in the Civil War and after. Serial number : "9799". With a 3.1/8" Octagonal ribbed barrel with a very good shinny bore with sharp rifling. It’s chambered for .22 short rimfire caliber. 7x round non-fluted scrolled engraving cylinder with clean chamber. Spur trigger. Original rosewood grips are good, the butt shape square, a little original silver pated finish remains on the brass frame. Single Action is an excellent working condition. A close copy in many respects of Smith & Wesson First Model 1st & 2nd Issue type .22 revolver. Until production was halted by law suit Manhattan & American Standard 22 caliber revolvers were not only well made , but they sold rapidly. The Company apparently had no fear of possible legal action from Rollin White or S&W... Very collectible, rarely seen in such good shape, all visible on the pictures. Old ammunitions are not for sale. What is not written on the description would be seen on the pictures.
