Description:
As new, possibly unfired Ruger No. 3 in the desirable .223 Rem chambering. 22" barrel with a perfect bore. Front bead front sight and folding, microadjustable rear sight with ability to use a "u" notch or a "square" notch. Barrel is factory drilled and tapped for scope mounts, and the unturned filler screws are in place.
This is a great rifle for customization, with easy availability of highly figured walnut drop in stocks, variety of buttplates, and this rifle has beautifully proportioned side panels on the receiver for the skilled engraver to add his or her artistry.
This also makes the perfect ranch rifle; easily stowed in your ATV or the pickup truck.
I believe the .223 is the best caliber of all the No. 3 choices. Readily available, inexpensive, soft recoil, and can be hand loaded to suit a variety of tasks.
