James L. Batson, Jr. "Morgan" the pirate Bowie knife. The 8-1/4" Damascus "Ocean Wave" blade is 1-7/8" wide with a Damascus guard, crown stag handle carved by renowned wolrdwide artist Paul G. Grussenmeyer, depicting the famous pirate in stunning details with braided hairs under his beard and chin as seen in the Collector's Limited Numbered Edition book on Grussenmeyer which is included in the sale, (see photo # 10), is by far the most elaborate,detailed, expensive and spectacular carving done on a James L.
