Description:
Up for sale is my Valmet 412 double rifle in 30--06. The rifle is in excellent condition with 24" barrels, fired barrel indicators,
extractors, tang safety, trigger mounted barrel selector button, flip up rear sight and bullet impact barrel mounted adjustments. LOP
is 14 1/4". The bluing and wood are almost flawless but there is a small area of corrosion just above the right side hinge pin,
(see pics).
These Valmets are very well made. They lock up like bank vaults with design features first appearing in the famed Remington 32
shotgun.
The serial # on the receiver is 73 indicating first year production. The barrel set has been professionally fit to the receiver. I have
witnessed a friend shoot both barrel into 1 1/2" 100 yds. Sad to say I couldn't achieve that leverl of accuracy but it's good to
know what the rifle is capable of in the right hands.
