"Serial number 81271. Made in 1862. 44 caliber with an 8" barrel. This is a Gustave young factory engraved piece. The metal has a dark gray patina with some spots of light pitting. The engrave is all nice and sharp. Good cylinder scene remains. This gun is all matching. The grips are checkered, carved ivory with the Mexican eagle and snake. The grips are repaired on the left hand side. The back strap is inscribed with the initials “FLG" Very fine civil war era Factory Engraved Colt 1860 Army!
